National wine journalist John Stimpfig writes in The Oxford Times about the Oxford Wine Company’s Call My Wine Bluff event in Buckland, Oxfordshire, saying that he found it the best and most entertaining event of its kind that he has attended. He goes on to say that the idea was brilliantly adapted by Ted Sandbach, owner of The Oxford Wine Company from the original TV show and describes the highlight of the evening as being when the communal rendition of Cliff Richard’s ‘Summer Holiday’ (orchestrated by Ted) rocked the room! He quotes Ted as saying “It’s really meant to be a lot of fun because so many wine events can be a little bit boring and passé. We do about ten of these a year for local charities and companies and they work terrifically well for audiences of up to 160.”
